Kuih Muih Melayu

Laksa Orders & Puteri Dua Sebilik

Another busy day, despite my backache. Had to prepare 80 packets of Laksa Johor by lunch time and everything had to rush. Of late our Laksa have been very well received and I do hope to carry this momentum right through to the month of Ramadhan. Constantly improving the servings and packaging. I have included fork and spoon now for packed Laksa to make it easier for buyers to eat immediately from the container that we have provided. Small step really but a big move forward to making our product more customer friendly. Oh yes a napkin was also included in the packaging. Eating Laksa can be a messy business and the napkin provides a more than adequate wipes.

Puteri Dua Sebilik have finally gained recognization after more than a year of relentless marketing and promotions. Orders are picking up and in some restaurants our P2SB have become a staple product in their menu. Not bad for a relative unknown kuih about a year ago.

Monday 20th I am closing shop for a day to attend to my own medical needs. Tuesday or Wednesday will be business as usual, hopefully.

Pasar Ramadhan

Puasa and Hari Raya may just be a couple of months away but the activity around the months is clearly heating up. Those in the clothing business are scrambling to get their line of clothing out by now, be the early bird and catch the momentum now as the auspicious months draws nearer. Buyers are beginning to buy now although not frantic yet but still they are buying. Cookies suppliers are in a rush too, perfecting receipe and collecting orders. Those with new products are in the que, food tasting, promotion and more food tasting. Kuih muih business is a never ending process of food tasting, free samples and collecting feedback.

KweMwe is not going to do any restaurants business this year but rather do what we did not do last year. I am going to take on the Pasar Ramadhan. I have a spot which has been offered to me, seriously considering it but I think I should also explore other locations. I am sure I can make it this year. If ever this fasting month is going to be the yardstick in our kuih muih business and if it is as good as I think, Im taking the plunge and move forward even more aggressively. Well........we'll see how it goes yay!

Laksa Johor

Thats not a problem. Yang lainya tu, perlu dibeli fresh,  togay, timun, limau kasturi, daun-daun and freshly made sambal belacan, pedas siket best.
Biasalah pukul 3.00 pagi dah kena bangun untuk siapkan laksa, kuih puteri dan karipap-karipap goreng. Pack semua and hantar sebelum waktu makan tengah hari. Penat but it was a good day to do business. Im happy!
